Habits Make You…You

Look people, you cannot outtrain a shitty diet.  It took me a very long time to realize and accept this, don’t make the same mistake I did for so long.  Ive done the same workouts, same intensity on my eat what you want and work out hard..and ive done the same workouts on a clean diet plan.  Meats, fruits, and vegetables.  The results were night and day in appearance, but surprisingly enough so was the energy levels.

In the past, I always figured I was over training or just not getting enough sleep.  That was before I changed my diet routine.  I can train harder, longer, I recover faster, and like I said…the results are night and day.  Its not easy.  Simple yes, easy no.  Now all that being said, im not a machine who can naturally fend off temptation like water on oil…im human.  I get tempted by the smell of pastries when I go into the grocery store,  the items at Starbucks call my name everytime I go in for my coffee.   My family, “Oh one wont hurt anything, youre not fat…you work out all the time”.  Exactly!  So, why would I want to piss that away for one bite?

Now that im on the frontlines so to speak…training people, training anyone I can get to talk to me…and eventually pay me, I am noticing one common trait amongst most people; AVERAGE PEOPLE WILL NEGOTIATE GOALS AND DISCIPLINE.  First off, let me say YOU ARE LYING if you tell me that you did not know a Snickers and a Coke was bad for you.  C’mon.

What do you mean by negotiate their goals?  Well for example.

Me- You need to up your protein with lean meats, chicken is a good source.

Negotiator- Ok, well I can just get the crispy chicken sandwhich from Carl’s Jr right?  I mean, ill take off the bread.

Me- No.  Thats not even real chicken and its FRIED.  The word ‘crispy’ is another word for FRIED IN SHIT.

Negotiator- Oh.  Well, theyre only $1 and its close- so it makes it easier.

Me- If you can find a Carls Jr, you can find a grocery store and a can of tuna is the same price.

Negotiator- Yeah, I can make a tuna wrap or something.  I like those too.  Tortillas are OK right?

Me- Did you read any of the shit you said you read?! No tortillas are not good.  Use lettuce to wrap it in.

Negotiator- Oh…ok.  Ill just make a wrap from tuna, some pickles, some mayo, and a slice of cheese or two?

Me-  Bye…

STOP RUINING YOUR FOOD!
