That Feeling…

These days, I usually don’t plan my workout times per se. It is more of a ‘feeling’ ya know. I can’t really explain it. It goes right along with the ‘Aha’ feeling Vic Magary explained to me. It’s that feeling when you literally say, in your mind, ‘Aha!’ I did not know that was possible. Hmm…let us try that again.
So, what is ‘that feeling’ that im trying to describe? Well, I can’t. You have to feel it for yourself. Once you do, you’ll know. Its like a drug to an addict, food to a depressed eater, an abusive partner to someone with no self esteem…I need the beating. That didn’t sound too pretty, did it? Well, sometimes, it’s not pretty at all. If I don’t get it, I am upset and can’t function. Sometimes, you take too much….like a 7 day crack binge, or puke and purge, or 2 black eyes and a broken bone. Wow, are you really reading this? Yes….yes, you are.
That’s not pretty at all. Where’s the results talk, the happy feelings, and all the wonderful things that go along with ‘fitness’? They’re still there. But, sometimes you have to push it, put it all on the line. It’s not always fun, it’s hardly ever pretty, and sometimes…it’s flat out dangerous. Me being a trainer, I am suppose to ‘keep people within their own limits’ keep them safe….don’t risk injury….etc. I agree; don’t be stupid, listen to your body, and always, always use caution. Really though, don’t be a pussy. Throw some extra weight on it, do 20 extra flips. Fuck it, do 100 burpees for fun. How about 50 flights of stairs at the end of a workout? 10 fifty yard sprints after an hour of weights? Strap a tow rope on your car and find an empty parking lot…don’t mind the gazers.

Cmon! Push it folks! But don’t blame me if you puke and pass out….I didn’t put that feeling there, you already HAVE IT. I just help wake it up.
That feeling comes complete with goosebumps and a vision of KILLIN IT!
