Diet & Fitness Agenda; 3 Points

Good morning boys and girls,

I realize it’s been a few days, so let’s save the small talk and just begin.

For starters;  The holidays are here.  Great!  Honestly, I am going to enjoy this holiday season.  No money, plenty of stress, injured, and currently on an eating spree.  I am alive, healing and healthy.  As a bonus, if you’re still reading these or seeing me in person…well, im figuring somethin’ out.

I’ve been reading more, back on top of the biz side of things.  Still learning new things daily.  It tends to happen when you’re approaching 5 months TIB.

I am a warrior, and no matter what the situation is I am going to make the best of it…or, the BEAST of it.  Regardless of that is in business, or the situations we place ourselves in.

For starters, Thanksgiving Day Food?  Plenty of healthy things to eat.  I am going to take plenty of regular sweet potatoes and turkey home to save.

For once…remind yourself;  You are not stupid, stay away from the JUNK FOOD.  Let me explain it like this.  I had 4 pieces of a certain candy…once I felt sick and disturbed, I checked the label.  I just consumed 22g of fat from empty calories in this shit bar.  Not to mention all the other crap I took in.

See?  It is not pretty once you break it down.  If your eating solid and healthy, you don’t have room for 22g of fat from candy.  It is disgusting.  So, don’t be Mike.

Above all, enjoy your Thanksgiving.  Listen up, it is NOT turkey day.  It’s not football day.  It is a day to be THANKFUL…dummy.

Second topic on the agenda; What the fu*k do you WANT? Seriously!

“I want to tone up.” or “I want to lose weight.” or “I want bigger muscles.”

Ok…1. Not sure what that means. 2. You can take a shit and accomplish that. 3. Do a few curls, presto.

Really, set SPECIFIC goals.  Written, specific, clear goals.  Is it my fault because I don’t ask you to do it?  Partially.  But, I am suppose to be grateful you even read this…so what do I care, really?

It is your program, your work, your time, effort and sweat…don’t ask me what you’re doing.  Shit…we’re training.  I do what I am paid to do.

The Third and final topic for this session is RECOVERY.  So, I finally had to give in and rest.  The beast has long been asleep in my own sessions and I’m doing my best to not aggravate the shit anymore.  So let’s be smarter.  To be a beast, you need to train harder.  The harder you train, the more you need to recover.  The first 3 are obvious.

1. Rest aka Restola.  You will note much more alternate day workouts, or at the most a heavy day and a very light day followed by an active recover day.

2. Stretching.  I cannot tell you how important this is.  You NEED to know this already.  It’s a big part of my current issues and ROM problems.

3. Water.  Another one of the ‘you should already know’ files.  Half your body weight in ounces to lose weight.  That rule has been around a long time.  I am setting new ‘coffee refill rules’ for myself.  Example;  No refill until 1.5 liters have been consumed.

This next part is my own personal testing and NOT medical advice obviously.  I have had some success with the following supplements vitamins.

-Glucosamine

-Multi Vitamin

-Fish Oil

-Ibuprofin for anti-inflamatory.

Please do your own research on these brands.

For recover, I will also be doing more jacuzzi work at 24 Fitness and icing immediately after workouts. I will ice regardless of there is pain in the troubled spots or not.

It will take much recovery and rest to get thru the next run we have planned for this year, BEASTMAS09.

What is beastmas09?  Well, the true definition is “more beast 09″ and we will talk more about that on the next one.

So for now, keep it strong and get ready…we are not going to let the holiday fat-slide bitch slap us this year!

-M.
